Shooting
Varying the image brightness (Exposure compensation)
This function allows you to make fine changes to the automatic exposure
setting. In some situations, you may get better results when the exposure that
the camera sets is compensated (adjusted) manually. You can adjust the
exposure in the range of ±2.0 in 1/3EV steps.
When the setting is changed, you can check the result on the monitor.
1 Press the power switch.
The camera turns on in the shooting
mode.
The lens extends and the monitor turns
on.
The orange lamp lights.
2 Press ( ).
The setting screen for the exposure
compensation is displayed.
3 Press to select the
exposure compensation value,
and press .
Select a [ + ] value to brighten the image
or a [
] value to darken the image.
If not used for about 3 seconds, the
camera applies the current settings,
and the setting screen disappears.
