Cleaning

Attachments—Foryoursafetyandtoavoiddamaging

theproduct,useonlyaccessoriesrecommended

byOlympus.

Water and Moisture—Forprecautionsonproducts

withweatherproofdesigns,readtheweatherproong

sections.

Location—Toavoiddamagetotheproduct,mount

theproductsecurelyonastabletripod,stand,or

bracket.

Power Source—Connectthisproductonlytothe

powersourcedescribedontheproductlabel.

Foreign Objects—Toavoidpersonalinjury,never

insertametalobjectintotheproduct.

Heat—Neveruseorstorethisproductnearanyheat

source,suchasaradiator,heatregister,stoveor

anytypeofequipmentorappliancethatgenerates

heat,includingstereoampliers.

Handling the Camera

WARNING

Do not use the camera near ammable or

explosive gases.

Do not use the ash and LED on people (infants,

small children, etc.) at close range.

Youmustbeatleast1m(3ft.)awayfromthe

facesofyoursubjects.Firingtheashtoocloseto

thesubject’seyescouldcauseamomentaryloss

ofvision.

Keep young children and infants away from the

camera.

Alwaysuseandstorethecameraoutofthe

reachofyoungchildrenandinfantstopreventthe

followingdangeroussituationswhichcouldcause

seriousinjury:

Becomingentangledinthecamerastrap,

causingstrangulation.

Accidentallyswallowingthebattery,cardsor

othersmallparts.

Accidentallyringtheashintotheirowneyesor

thoseofanotherchild.

Accidentallybeinginjuredbythemovingpartsof

thecamera.

Do not look at the sun or strong lights with the

camera.

Do not use or store the camera in dusty or humid

places.

Do not cover the ash with a hand while ring.

Do not insert anything into the microSD

Attachment other than the microSD card.

ThisattachmentisexclusiveforuseofmicroSD

cardsonly.Othertypesofcardscannotbeinstalled.

Do not insert anything other than an xD-Picture

Card or the microSD Attachment into the camera.

Ifyouinsertacardbymistake,suchasamicroSD

card,donotuseforce.Contactauthorized
