Recording and display
Taking still pictures and displaying them

Compose the picture by turning
the camera towards the subject.
The picture is slightly larger than
scene you viewed through the
viewfinder/monitor.

Press the shutter button halfway
to lock the focus and exposure.
The AF confirmation mark will light
up and the camera will beep once.
If the focus and exposure are not
locked, the AF confirmation mark
blinks. [ “Subjects that are

If a subject is not well lit and is
difficult to focus on, the AF assist
lamp will light automatically. You
can also turn off the AF assist lamp
manually if desired. [ “AF

When the flash stand-by blinks,
slide (flash switch) to set the
