About the Number of Storable Pictures

If the camera is ready for taking pictures and power is turned ON, the

number of storable pictures is displayed on the control panel.

Number of Storable Pictures (when using an 32 MB SmartMedia card)

The number of storable pictures varies depending on the selected resolu-

tion mode and the remaining capacity of each card.

NOTE

• The timing of the appearance of the number of remaining pictures

varies depending on the type and condition of the batteries used.

MEMO

• If the camera has not been operated for more than specified time

while it is in any operation mode such as "P" and "A", a power save

function will be activated and put it into the Stand-by mode.Indication

on the control panel will disappear. The interval of inactivity is

changeable. (P. 76)

• To cancel the Stand-by mode, turn the zoom lever or press the shut-

ter release button halfway, and the control panel display will reap-

pear.

• When the camera is in the Stand-by mode for an interval, it automati-

cally turns the power off. Press the power button to turn it back on.

• Set the date and time before taking pictures. Refer to “Setting

Date/Time”. (P. 74)

• When taking pictures on a trip, on a special occasion, or in cold tem-

peratures, it is recommended to keep precharged spare batteries

handy.Please use the AA Ni-MH batteries and battery charger bun-

dled with the C-2500L.

• When operating with exhausted batteries, frame number blinks on

the control panel after a picture is taken or power is turned on. In this

case, the picture was not taken normally. Load new batteries, and

operate the C-2500L again.

NOTE

• When no more images can be stored on the card, the green lamp

inside the viewfinder as well as and “0” blinks on the control

panel.

• The amount of data consumed in taking pictures differs according to

the subject, therefore it is possible to take more pictures than the

Number of Storable Pictures given above.

• It can happen that the counter does not decrease after a picture is

taken or that the number of remaining pictures does not increase

when a frame is erased.

• The maximum number of pictures allowed varies according to card

capacity.

• Set the date and the time before taking pictures.(P. 74)

• Lives of cards will expire. Depending on the condition of the flash mem-

ory of the card, the maximum number of storable images may vary.

MEMO

• When the maximum number of exposures exceeds 999, “999” is dis-

played on the control panel.
