Menu setting method
Menu setting method
[On/Off] setting:
1 Press the + or button to select between
[On] and [Off].
[On]: Guidance will be provided.
[Off]: Guidance will be canceled.
2 Press the `OK button to exit [On/Off]
selection.
[Speed] setting:
1 Press the + or button to select from
[Speed5], [Speed4], [Speed3], [Speed2],
and [Speed1].
2 Press the `OK button to exit [Speed]
selection.
[Volume] setting:
1 Press the + or button to select from
[Volume5], [Volume4], [Volume3],
[Volume2], and [Volume1].
2 Press the `OK button to exit [Volume]
selection.
4 Press the F2 (EXIT) button to
close the menu screen.
Notes
The starting tune/closing tune when the
power is turned On/Off ( P.20) can be
canceled if you set the guidance to [Off].
If you format the recorder ( P.77), voice
guide data will be erased as well. If you
want to recover the voice guide data,
connect to a PC and copy the guide data
to the recorder by using the supplied
“Olympus Sonority” ( P.86).
Set the volume of the starting tune/
closing tune at the guidance [Volume]
setting.
• The [Speed] setting in the [Voice Guide]
settings is disabled during file playback.
Guidance [Voice Guide]
(DM-670 only)
This feature gives audio announcements
of recorder operating conditions. Adjust
the speed and the volume of guidance
announcements.
1 Select [Voice Guide] from the
menu in [LCD/Sound Menu].
For details on how to enter the menu
settings, see “Menu setting method
( P. 51).
2 Press the + or button to select
the item to set.

F2 button
Select items you want to set from
among [On/Off], [Speed] and
[Volume].
3 Press the `OK button to move to
the respective setting.
