System Sounds/Alarm Playback Function
Alarm Playback
Function
The alarm playback function can be set to play
a selected file by pressing any button when the
alarm tone sounds.

Choose the file to be played when
the alarm sounds.
(See Steps 1 and 2 in “Playing” ( P.15).)

Press the FOLDER/MENU button
for 1 second or longer.
The menu opens ( P.27).

Press the FF/+ or REW/– button
to open the alarm playback setup
screen (ALARM).

Press the REC/SET button.
The alarm playback setup process begins.

Press the FF/+ or REW/– button to
choose between ON and OFF.
ON: Enables alarm playback.
OFF: Disables alarm playback.

Press the REC/SET button to
complete the setup process.
When you choose ON, the alarm mark
lights and the scheduled time setup
process begins. The time indicator will
flash. Step 7
When you choose OFF, the alarm
playback setup process ends, and the
alarm mark disappears. Step 11
System Sounds
The recorder beeps to alert you to button
operations or warn you of errors. System
sounds may be turned off.

Press the FF/+ or REW/– button to
open the system sound setup
screen (BEEP).

Press the REC/SET button.
The system sound setup process begins.

Press the FF/+ or REW/– button to
choose between ON and OFF.

Press the REC/SET button to
complete the setup process.

Press the STOP button to close the
menu.
Note
If the alarm playback function has been set, the alarm
will sound at the scheduled time even if system sounds
are turned off.
