TV video signal types in major countries and regions
Check the video signal type before connecting the camera to your TV.

When set to
[OFF]
, you can turn off the beep sound that is emitted when the focus locks by
pressing the shutter button.
SLEEP
After a specified period of time elapses with no operations being performed, the camera enters
the sleep mode (stand-by) to save battery power.
[SLEEP]
lets you select sleep timer from
[1MIN]
,
[3MIN]
,
[5MIN]
, or
[10MIN]
.
[OFF]
cancels the sleep mode.
The camera activates again as soon as you touch any button (the shutter button,
q
button,
etc.).
USB MODE
You can connect the camera directly to a computer or printer with the provided USB cable. If you
specify the device you are connecting to beforehand, you can skip the USB connection setting
procedure normally required every time you connect the cable to the camera. For details on how
to connect the camera to either device, refer to “Connecting the camera to a printer” (

P. 115)
and “Connecting the camera to a computer” (

P. 120).
[AUTO]
The selection screen for the USB connection will be displayed every time you connect
the cable to a computer or printer.
[STORAGE]
Allows you to transfer images to a computer. Also, select to use the OLYMPUS Master
software via PC connection.
[MTP]
Allows you to transfer images to a computer running Windows Vista without using the
OLYMPUS Master software.
[PRINT]
Can be set when connecting the camera to a PictBridge-compatible printer. You can
print out pictures with set number of prints, print paper and other settings.
